dot clock is a free interval timer for workouts. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. The short version: the app does not collect, store or share any personal information about you. Everything you enter stays on your device.
dot clock is published by Keuer Solutions Pty Ltd, an Australian company. We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles to the extent they apply to us, and we follow them regardless.
To work, the app keeps the following on your phone only:
This information is stored in the app's local storage on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app, or using "Clear history" and "Reset" in Settings, removes it.
Because nothing leaves your device, there is no cloud backup and nothing to sign in to. Your workouts, settings and history do not move to a new phone by themselves, and if you delete the app or clear its data they are gone for good. Your phone's own device backup (iCloud or Google) may include them, but that is your phone's doing, not ours, and we cannot restore anything for you.
None. The app has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It does not use third-party software development kits that collect data. It does not access your contacts, photos, location, camera, microphone or health data.
If a future version ever includes advertising, analytics or any other feature that collects information, we will update this policy and the privacy details shown on the App Store and Google Play before that version is released, so you can see what changed before you install it. A version you have already installed does not start collecting information because a later one does.
The app works offline. It does not connect to our servers. If a future version adds an optional online feature, we will update this policy before it is released and the feature will be off by default.
If you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google may collect information such as your download and crash reports under their own privacy policies. We may see aggregated, anonymous statistics from them (for example, total downloads). We cannot identify you from this.
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Because no data leaves your device, the security of your information depends on the security of your device. We recommend keeping your device updated and protected with a passcode.
Since we hold no personal information about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on request. You can view, edit and delete everything the app stores directly in the app. If you believe we do hold information about you, or you have a privacy concern, contact us and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
